THE MYSTERY IS HOW Impossibly Now The Mystery is How I forget and then I remember the sound has arrived those birds trimming the sky swooping together and so I feel tender wave over wave go under you say save your breath while I hold it all together too slow to know life waits under the snow with the fire of health and tempo an order to grow I'll be on my knees in the dirt if I please I'll be around, friend. Soon, I'll feel better.

Atlantic 03:38
ATLANTIC you're a question mark where the atlantic vanishes in the dark washed up like a shark chalk sickle moon on jet lucite tonight you're really hard you're really hard you're really hard to get close to you're really hard you're really hard you're really hard to get past send me a photograph you are alone when you've thrown the ball too far from me you won't do what I ask riding the boundary lawn-edging last minute to madden me you're really hard you're really hard you're really hard to hold fast you're really hard you're really hard you're really hard for it to last someone got lost in the glass someone is hiding not afraid of the dark or surprising someone is stuck in the past one can see only the light one can feel only the spark you're really hard you're really hard you're really hard to win over you're really hard you're really hard you're really hard to get over

CAUGHT NOW IN A BUTTERFLY SWARM If there is an open door I have left food out for the animals Before I compromise You are always on my mind Feeding the captives with sugar Hiding from yourself Hardly worn Caught Now in a Butterfly Swarm Gambling in the bright sun Plumbing new lows At the executioner's door Where I drove myself to hell And found out It was incredibly sorry With the lights on Desperately floodlit with prayer Even when I hand it over I hardly move I feel like the windows Believing in escape Into the water, too You only really want to know the rules I've had to uphold As if it means anything anymore In the trees, in the water, it's in the walls And this part of the war has been my life-source It was not the joy It was not the joy in life that killed me If you've starved If you've even stopped your own heart After you gave what did not get to the right place Because you lose And you lose I am slow from the slaking of a human need From the blackness of a snake-hole Fireworks carefully stored and despite my health It is not the joy It is not the joy in life that kills me You've only ever really known the way I've worn my clothes By the ones I've owned, or the ones I've tried on.

NEVER LET ME GO On the Sea under the Sun Never Let Me Go O Never Let Me Go O Never Let Me Go Taken, Burned, Sunk and Destroyed A Pretty House is Fine O a Pretty House is Fine O a Pretty House is Fine Come to me my Voice is Dead It Brushes on my Mind O it Brushes on my Mind O it Brushes on my Mind Bend your Face towards the Sun From the Rope that's hung O from the Rope that's hung O from the Rope that's hung

DO WHAT YOU CAN christ help you in your body you are lost in a storm and if it's safe and warm it's still a storm I want to leave you in five minutes or tomorrow and if it really hurts I'll never know what's waiting in line in a dark apartment for you make it seem like its okay swat my deepest wound because you buy the food let it rot in the fridge I'm prepared to lose you into another room into the fabric of clothes and I leaned against the shirts and I'll never know you you're a man you do only what you can the door has been opening and closing and you shut them and you build them and you lock them and you're blind and I'm blind a figure of 8 in a chain of breathing chain it to yourself you look at me but who's the fool if it's easier for you to be cruel if it's easier for you to be cruel

It is Loud 05:16
IT IS LOUD we could wake up cold white cattle egrets locked in the grass so we say we see it's heart damply sometimes in my mind your body is a banging door a formal god a grave in a lock jaw what's a picture of the dead to us for I want to lie awake let your thoughts make a lover of a lonely muscle I want to lie awake return to shape hold my nature do not break come before the bridge yawns shut here is a stem of worth I've cut but there are complete shadows deeply forking chords from our throats it is loud it is loud it is loud it is loud our Jonquil eyes are ripe and warm and glued we are sucking on the sticks of our farm with slow wounds trying to build a boat jangled by lust dislocated what the night does to us I want to feel your scruples break lover of a dislodging snake I want to lie awake let your thoughts take hold of my nature what you do not face we could wake up from holding battles face up but there are complete unknowns long and suggestive so you know you are allowed you are allowed you are allowed you are allowed you are allowed you are allowed

DUST THIS PROMISE OF DOOM well that's water for you boy battery for your toy dust this promise of doom the low and hanging fruit I was mouth loose and sick in silk or charmeuse why are you robbing me as if i have heat i'm best served cold now how could i think you'd say you're sorry when your the one who needs it most of all you cry baby one more time, until I let you know what's on my mind I cant see this road it furthers me to have somewhere to go you had your time and place in my mind how could I think you'd save me when you're the one who needs it most of all you cry baby you let me down until I finally have to let you drown and drown

THE SAME FRACTURE Rub against the bones I'm made from Forged and hung on a whispered stage You are gone You are remembered, only by distances to address the body's needs. Weeding luxuries In time, find out what is dead and what is still alive You know I will research divisions and sacrifices piercing all your decisions. The Same Fracture Why bother How much rock needs to be Now Cleared from the room Down, down, down. Until the spade hits the ground. Lost and drawn out into threads. Insufferable friend. Insufferable friend. Last I saw radiant forms When you get further these things come with the ones you adore And you know you are but do nothing Be alone Be an effervescent king on a buckled throne Lost on earth Your reasons are sound The sky shored on the ground Lost, but unearthed, withheld to deprive Get lost in your own eyes Lost and drawn out into threads Insufferable friend Lost on Earth Lost on Earth Lost on Earth Lost on Earth

BREAD AND LEATHER We hurried home wet through the weather damp and slow bread and leather. Surrender time shoulder and temper a hole to bury unwanted tethers a pearl picked clean bone stripping vibrating repelled and pulled in. The vulture cleans the bones the baggage licked us from our homes emptied our jackets confused our limbs and even you in your aquarium the lake will break in moments of death have the fullest expression of all this is life I want you to keep your mountains still and find your own way back to feel. Don't say you can't any more.

SWIPING AT COMETS so since we are physically affected swiping at comets all night and not talking I've hit a rock in you a jail of stars deep in the sea let the hands come off we know not whether we, or the energy is anything more than you'll say you're the honey stuck in fur for now a glass of champagne I can tell you I'm transparent iIm not mine stay here until I desire you would it be an ill-starred boat if I'm on it too inhospitable shores baring its chest everyday at your door am I able to feel anything beyond the fuse so since we are physically affected swiping at comets all night and not talking there's a ringing bell in you for all the world is new it's not the first time I've timed my breathing nor the first time I'll cling to fire I try to lead and I lose myself I can hear you without I can hear you without I can hear you without much trouble there is no glory in this sweet heart without the firewood within it so one runs screaming the other brings it back a lit song inside a lamp

KICK YOUR KNIVES remind me with a fresh horse burning hard you're dismantled kick your knives in the the holes of the sky in the non-outside thick with outside no remorse a fresh horse touched by long neglect to feel himself in his own mind I told him he could believe but I don't mind I told I'd felt deceived but it's all right I have felt thrown and I wont go and I can feel my organic shape pull away winding back the tape unwinding the play and I can feel my ropes here my ropes here my ropes here remind me we are green vivcid religions and recklessness cross-crossed and windborne submissive captive enormous and swaggering and caught like a bulb in two hands twisting the corpse coaxing the glands shorn of waste and frail dissolving anyway behind a code dust baffled and you'll say we have impulse to steal happy to be real within the structures where we shift death but there is all but death here but death here but death here there is all but death here but death here but death here
14.
IT IS THE SWAN ON THE TABLE You are here You have everything you've feared and so does the mirror the snake and the deer the quickening pull the quickening pulse cracking the scent of silence I am awake for you when there is no love near though I'm just as likely to find my own grave I am also afraid I have thrown my whole life away you will not speak if I stay I cannot do this again and again and again even if it were the full moons I have blamed truly it was the lovelessness that stayed the same even when I swore the planets changed "I saw them change" "I saw them change" It is the swan on the table its dead neck in an S the men with feathers in their mouths leaving the eggs cold in the nest will my heart die alone with the best? I had framed my head on its chest I have been lonely but that's me under my own arrest with this feeling despite all these maybes come home and stay a while despite all these maybes come home and stay a while despite all these maybes come home and stay a while despite all this come home and stay despite all of this maybe
